Quick and Easy Fall Chili

As the weather cools down, let this fall chili warm you up. Yet, it can be ready in 30 minutes.

It’s the end of summer, you’re tired of pool days, kids are ready to go back to school and sport activities are starting up again. However, here in North Carolina, we don’t get much fall. Even so, we will get a week or so to tease us that fall in near, and I am all for it!

Therefore, bring out the sweaters, the fall decor, and pumpkin season. In addition, also love making warm soups and fall chilis’ during this time of year.

Additionally, when sports begin to start back up, I need quick and easy meals that I can easily prepare and have on the table in no time. Furthermore, lot of soups and fall chilis can take all day to cook, but not this recipe! (Do note you could put this in a crockpot to simmer all day if you wanted to).

Why Choose Simple Fall Chilis and Soups?

Have you ever wondered why we crave warmer foods, such as fall chilis and soups as the seasons change? The reason is because when our bodies feel cold it will trigger a “self-preservation” mode which makes you crave warmer, more caloric foods as if your body is preparing for fall and winter.

Consequently today, we can go to the grocery store and buy strawberries in December, but before grocery stores when everyone grew their own foods, you would only eat seasonal foods and eat what you could hunt. Hence, potatoes, root veggies and meat, which make the best simple soups and chilis.

They have proven your body does regulate a lot better when you get seasonally, but whether you do or not, I think it’s safe to say we all crave warmer food when the weather starts to change from summer to fall. Isn’t it amazing at how God even designed our bodies to protect and preserve over winter months.

Simple Twist on a Fall Chili

Moreover, this chili includes spices such as cumin, paprika, chili powder and garlic powder it will give a hit of a southwest flavor twist. Thus, pair it with sour cream, corn chips, cheese and even some guacamole if you so choose. These all create the most flavorful simple fall chili.
